Questions before you paste a URL
What does ActReady actually scan?
We load your URL in a headless browser — the same way a visitor’s browser would — and inspect the rendered page for chatbot widgets, disclosure language, synthetic-content signals, and public AI policy links. It’s a readiness check for website transparency, not a full legal audit of every AI system in your organisation.
Is this legal advice?
No. ActReady is an automated tool that highlights likely gaps against publicly known EU AI Act obligations. For high-risk AI systems, contested classifications, or sector-specific rules, consult qualified legal counsel.
Who is the free scan for?
Any business with a public website — especially if you run a chatbot, publish AI-generated content, or serve EU customers. Agencies can scan one client site for free; Pro is for scanning many sites and exporting results for outreach.
Why August 2, 2026?
That’s when Article 50 transparency obligations become fully enforceable for deployers — including chatbot disclosure and labelling of AI-generated content shown to the public. AI literacy (Article 4) is already in force from 2 February 2025.
Do you store my scan results?
Scans run on demand. We don’t build a searchable database of every site on the internet. Report URLs are shareable by design so you can send them to clients — treat them like any link you share.
